Portal Updated with Virtual Methods
For convenience for all, all documents by method have been downloaded and are now available in zip file format on ortaxaide: https://ortaxvolunteers.org/local-coordinators/
These are Shared Documents from a AARP google account. This means that you will be able to get at them and download if you in a Chrome browser signed in via your AARP google account.
Happy New Year!
Password Required for Entire Site on 12/30
AARP requires that anything on ortaxvolunteers.org that references NTTC or TaxAide needs to be password protected. This is not new, but as we continue to add more NTTC documents and training materials, the organization and location of various items is getting convoluted. Examples… some items in the Tools page are NTTC, so we have a note to go to that page. With recent additions for training, we have technical information not on the Technical page and training information not on the Volunteer Training & Certification page.
To solve this dilemma, the whole site will be password protected beginning Wednesday December 30th. It is the same password provided earlier for the NTTC page. Upon a successful sign-in, a “cookie” will be set to expire after 14 days… meaning one will need to sign in every 14 days. If you clear the browser’s cache, you may need to sign in earlier.
After the password is set for the entire site, the information on the NTTC page other than the “Publications” will be rearranged so that all content is on the appropriate topic page. Current links to specific documents should not change, but page references will.
More NTTC Documents & Worksheets
Updates have been made to the NTTC page including some worksheets and training materials. Please take a look. Also.. most of these documents now link directly to the Portal. If you are already signed into the Portal, will go directly. If not, the Portal will first take you to the sign-in page. The advantage of this method is that you will see the latest version and can download from there. FYI, the 4012 and the NTTC Training Videos List were recently updated.
Major updates also made to the Volunteer Training page regarding required training both Federal and Oregon.
On the Federal page, Pub 17 and the EIC table for 2020 are now available.
There have been other minor changes. Please peruse. Feel free to contact me with updated or new items. Can reach me at ortaxaide@gmail.com.
Recent Document Updates
All currently available NTTC documents are now up on the NTTC page.
On the Federal page, the Intake Form and the 14446 Virtual Taxpayer Consent are available in the Publications.
Also, available on the District/Local Coordinator page is documentation about the “Traditional Scan” virtual method drafted by D25 Josephine County.
